First appointment checklist

In order to prepare for your first visit and make it as efficient as possible, here are a few things you should take care of before your appointment.

  • If you have any X-rays related to your dental concern, and if you have a referral letter from your family dentist, please bring them along.
  • Make a list of all medications you’re currently taking (including over-the-counter and prescription drugs) and give it to your dentist.
  • For billing purposes after your treatment, please bring your dental insurance card and any other necessary insurance information.

What to expect at your first visit

We encourage you to get in touch with us today to arrange your first appointment. When you arrive, here’s what you can expect.

X-Rays and diagnosis

Our office has digital X-ray equipment to help us make an accurate and complete diagnosis. Your diagnosis will help us determine whether you can benefit from a root canal treatment or not. If not, we’ll suggest an alternative, more appropriate treatment.

Treatment

If your diagnosis and your unique needs suggest that you will benefit from a root canal, we will proceed with treatment. Your treatment could be on the same day, if necessary. Otherwise, we’ll make a new appointment for you for your treatment.

Aftercare

After your treatment, we will answer any questions or concerns you might have, and provide you with aftercare instructions that you can take home with you. You can also choose to download and save or print these instructions from our website - see above.
